Small begining Made in Kalikuppam Today

Mrs.Vasantha, our Village Knowledge Worker in Kalikuppam used the Govt.'s Public address system to read out our Village Knowledge Centers News Bulletin.

Mr.Murugaram and Mr.Saravana of Pondicherry Engineering College Alumnus body New Earth Welfare Association collected news from Newpsapers and MSSRF's Village Resource Center Nagapattinam to write our first Notice at the VKC Notice Board. Unfortunately, we were the first to tell them that one of their fellow fisherman from nearby village Karaikalmedu has expired in an freak accident while fishing.

Mr.Vijay can be said as our first visitor, he saw a vedio training programme on Crab production.

NEWA has also created all the 15 registers needed for the VKC.

Now few more works are there, we are on Track, can formally inaugurate the VKC before 26th December.

Village Knowledge center comming up in Kalikuppam

Alumnus of Pondicherry Engineering college are working to create a Village Knowledge Center. It has been planned as per the VKC run by MSSRF in various part of the country.

Two Village Knowledge workers have also been identified and training for them will start soon.

New Fisheries School will be inaugurated soon in Kalikuppam.

Kalikuppam Government Primary (SMART) School

Kalikuppam Government Primary (SMART) School follows NCERT text books. Today(8th December 2009) our school has got Broadband internet connection as per the order from Sarva Shiksha Abhyan.

It has got Reverse Osmosis Water Purifying System. It was donated and installed by New Earth Welfare Association (Pondicherry Engineering College Alumnus body).This has protected school children water contamination. It has also reduced the salinity level in the drinking water.

This school has also got 2 computer in a separate computer room under SSA.

This board tells about the students studying in our school.

New Earth Welfare Association has also provided few Play things for the students.
